How Can a Stylus Teach Students about Conductors and Insulators?

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Have you ever wanted to have students write more accurately on an iPad or touchscreen device? And why does your touchscreen only react to your finger? We decided to have students 3D print their own stylus’ and test conductive materials while learning about touchscreens. Learn to make a stylus for a touchscreen!

STEM, JJ Flynn Elementary
This year I taught the newly created position of STEM teacher. It was the first year of implementation and it was a huge success in terms of engagement for students. This summer I am working on creating lessons aligned with NGSS with two newly formed community partnerships. We have also decided to change my position from STEM to STEAM to integrate the arts.
