Chronicling America: Using Historic Newspapers in the Classroom

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Chronicling America is an online, searchable, free collection of historic newspapers between 1836 and 1922 from Vermont and across America. This Library of Congress site allows students the opportunity to work with primary sources for a better sense of historical perspectives and local, national, and global news and culture of the past. In this hands-on workshop by the Vermont Digital Newspaper Project, participants will learn how to use Chronicling America, as well as explore online classroom tools, lessons, topics and activities.
