Interested in making but not ready for 3D printing? Come try out some super-simple projects that are easy to integrate in any classroom or library. All the materials you need for these projects fits in one shopping bag or tote. No soldering or electronics experience is required, but these projects get kids excited about combining creativity and technology. We’ll play with MaKey MaKey, which lets you turn anything into a key, and see how students can use it to make interactive games, design their own game controllers or musical instruments, or even create interactive art. We’ll also play with making Bristlebots (tiny, vibrating robots) and challenge each other to racing and sumo wrestling. This is a fun, hands-on session that will encourage you to try these simple activities with your students and get you fired up about making! You’ll leave with a MaKey MaKey kit and a BristleBot kit to use with your students. - Get Makey Makey & Bristlebots or bring your own.
