What Student DOESN'T Know More About Technology Than I Do?!

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Students with varying degrees of programming knowledge share how we restructured our class so that everyone learns and grows. Students with advanced knowledge of some languages help with instruction and with debugging student work. Because we address multiple languages, no one knows the entire curriculum and all learn overall basics together as well as fine-tune individual languages. The result is an environment that truly promotes and supports collaboration, growth mindset, perseverance, questioning, self-awareness, and precision.

Teacher, Montpelier High School
I have taught mathematics at Montpelier High School for the past three years, but began teaching an Introduction to Computer Programming course this past year. While I have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, I have not programmed in a few years and found that I had students in my class with experience more recent than mine. It has been a fascinating year for all of us!!
