Video Clubs As Drivers Of Organizational Change: Developing Authentic Demonstrations Of Teaching Practice With Collaborative Video Editing Tools

Participants will examine web-based collaborative video editing tool to examine teaching episodes, make video cases, and collaborate with their peers in a Web 2.0 participatory media sharing site. We will examine multiple collaborative video editing tools including The Digital Interactive Video Exploration and Reflection (DIVER) system to analyze student learning and teacher actions in real classroom experiences that participants have brought to the session. The session will end with a discussion of “video clubs” and “lesson studies” at local schools.
