Advanced Making at Champlain College's New Makerspace – Laser Cutting (by pre-registration only)

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Learn advanced maker skills at Champlain College’s new makerspace!

Laser Cutting. Learn the full workflow of laser cutting using the EMC’s 60 watt Epilog laser cutter. Create a design and use Adobe Illustrator workstations to prep for cutting. Adjust both cutting and etching properties, then watch your design be cut into wood and take it home. Designs can be hand drawn and scanned, or made directly in Illustrator, depending on users skill levels. This is a very similar workflow to the much less expensive vinyl cutting, and there will be a vinyl cutter at the EMC to see as well.

12 person limit.  $50 supply and facilities cost.

Transportation For Emergent Media Lab: Meet at the shuttle area on Maple Street near the Hauke building (See Campus Map) for pick up by 9:45 for transportation to the Lakeside Facility.
