STEAM and Maker Projects for a Middle School Science Curriculum

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

How can educators facilitate hands-on, interest based projects in their classrooms? How can individual ideas and projects allow students the opportunity to investigate their ideas and passions? In this session we will look at the variety of projects that were designed and created by 6th and 7th graders, the inexpensive materials that were needed for the projects, and the student- constructed instructions that accompany each of the projects. We will also evaluate how the students were able to internalize their understandings of circuits and electricity and demonstrate these understandings throughout the process and making of their project.

Bring your questions on how you can incorporate the maker mindset and exploration of materials to your own classroom. Get ideas and starter instructions for a variety of circuit and electricity projects.
